Geneva Barnett Obituary

Geneva Ellen Barnett Geneva Ellen Barnett passed away on December 16, 2009 in Austin, Texas. She was born in Decker, Texas to Carl and Ellen Ekdahl on June 2, 1916. Geneva was confirmed at the Decker Methodist Church at the age of 12. On March 24, 1945 she married Robert A. Barnett, Jr. Geneva always put her family first. She enjoyed sewing and raising their three children. On April 20, 1978, her husband Robert passed away. Geneva is also preceded in death by her sister Hazel Ekdahl Studdard. Surviving Geneva are her children, Charles Barnett and his wife Jan, Kelli Armstrong and her husband Marvin, and Brian Barnett and his wife Cindy; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; her brother Carl Weldon Ekdahl and his wife Nancy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Lighthouse. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2009 at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill.
