Brian Mark Obituary

Brian Lee Mark

October 7, 1970 - August 24, 2012

SEATTLE, WA - Brian passed away on Friday, August 24 in Seattle, Washington. He graduated from North Salem H.S., received a BA from Oregon State University, and a MA from Willamette University. In 1997 he married Debbie Hendrickx in Belgium. They moved often and lived in Salem, Florida, Texas, California and last in Seattle.

Brian loved Florida and all the golf courses. He not only worked at two, but played at many. Golf was his passion. He loved his bicycle and to run, too. He enjoyed watching and playing all kinds of sports and he loved watching his "beavers". Cooking was another love of his and he made fantastic meals. Brian did a lot of traveling and went to Jamaica to build a schoolhouse while he belonged to the National Guards.

Brian was a loving and kind person and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; mother and father, Lanny and Bonnie Mark; his sister, Susan Mark Kenyon and her husband Jeremy Kenyon; his nephew, Mark Watkins; his nieces, Madison, Kylie and Shelby Kenyon; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services are September 8 at 1:00 PM at Lone Oak Cemetery at 1777 N. Third Ave (at Fern Ridge Road and Third Avenue) in Stayton, Oregon. A reception will follow at the Foothills Church, 975 Fern Ridge Road, Stayton, OR. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

Brian was truly one of a kind. I have known him since college and have shared so many great times with him. Going to numerous Beaver games, visiting him in most of the places he lived with Debbie over the past many years, and just hanging out. He was always there for me, even if he was miles away from me sometimes. I considered him one of my best friends and this is one of the hardest losses I've ever had to face. I truly feel grateful to have known and been so close to him. I will miss him always. My heart goes out to his wife, family, and friends that will miss him as much as me. I love you Brian!
