Herbert Harold Fauth

November 2, 1927 - January 27, 2016

Herb passed away peacefully the evening of January 27, 2016, at the age of 88, with family at his side.

Herb was born in Wilton, North Dakota to Margaret Ann and Henry Fauth, joining 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Herb joined the Navy in 1945 and served his country with pride. He returned to Oregon and met Georgia Lee Sievers and they married on January 31, 1948, making their home in Salem and raised 3 boys. As a family, they enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing and spending time with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Herb taught his sons at a young age to work hard, be the best they could be and take pride in their lives. Herb enjoyed a career as an office equipment technician, starting with Friedan, then Singer and ending with TRW, and retired in 1987.

Herb and Georgia were lifetime members of Evergreen Golf Course, and traveled to Hawaii several times with friends to enjoy the beautiful golf courses there. In later years, Herb and Georgia enjoyed fishing at Mercer Lake in Florence, visiting the casinos nearby, and visiting grandchildren. They were married 65 years before Georgia passed away in 2013.

Herb is survived by his sons, Don Fauth (Carol) of Tuscon AZ, Ray Fauth (Debi) of Yakima WA and Randy Fauth (Vonda) of Salem OR; grandchildren, Tobi Schaap (Brian) of Boston MA, Calley Owens (Ron) of Salem OR, Buffy Alegeria (Brian) of Yakima WA, Andy Fauth (Beth) of Logan Utah, Justen Fauth of Washington DC, Chanel Clayton (Ben) of Black Diamond WA, Kristine Blake (Adam) of Salem OR, and Robert Foster of Woodland CA and too many to list great grandkids; various nieces and nephews, with special acknowledgement of nephew Jim Brown and wife Diane of Stayton for their support .

At Herb's request, there will be no services. The family would like to thank Vi and Jerry Conley for their wonderful care of Herb during his stay.
