Samir El-Antably Obituary

El-Antably, Samir Sat., March 31, 2012. Beloved husband of Ernestina El-Antably (nee Rodriguez); loving father of Camellia El-Antably; dear brother of Ahmed (Wisam) and Nabil (Pamela) El-Antably and Zeinab (Ibrahim) Badr; our dear brotherin-law, uncle, great-uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Samir immigrated from Egypt, received his PhD from the University of Minnesota and settled in St. Louis where he worked for Mallinkrodt as a research chemist. He volunteered for the American Chemical Society and planned for many of their events. He founded Camela Medical Equipment. Travel, cooking, music, arts, world cultures and home remodeling were his passions. The legacy of his efficiency and generosity will be remembered by all who knew him. Services: Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. An open house will be held in his honor at 228 Lancaster Dr., on Thurs., April 5, from 4-7pm. A Service of KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL.

Tina, we were so sorry to hear just this week about Samir's death. Our friendship with him goes back to his earliest Mallinckrodt days and we always enjoyed his company.
