Arand, Ruth Rosalie Spieker (nee Novak), baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the age of 77. Dearest wife of the late Albert Spieker (1st husband) and Kenneth Arand (2nd husband); dear daughter of the late Arthur Novak and the late Emily Link Novak; cutest mother of Albert Spieker, Gerald Spieker, Edward (Sandra) Spieker, Janet Stock, Jim (Doris) Spieker, Mary (Ralph) Kister, Theresa (Thomas) Schmitt; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; dearest sister of Audrey Sax and Kenneth Novak; dear sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many. She is preceded in death by Virginia Walsh, sister. She was a member of St. Charles Senior Center, St. Peters Church. She loved playing cards with family and friends, reading and crocheting. Her family meant everything to her.Services: The Family is being served by The BAUE Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO where visitation will be held 4- 8 p.m., Sunday, January 13, 2008. Funeral Service 10 a.m., Monday, January 14, 2008 at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO Interment Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Aunt Ruthie was always a gem. She had such a big loving heart. She had a wonderful laugh and she looked for the good. She loved with her huge heart and we were lucky to be on the receiving end. Much love, Donna
