The Bunce family was my first neighbors; and Mark my first friend. I was sad when they moved in the 60's and saddened again at Mr. Bunce's passing. My heart felt condolences to Mrs. Bunce, Christy & Mark

I just learned of Peter's passing and I am very saddened and wish to convey my condolences to Gail and the Bunce family. I served on the board of Circus Flora with Peter. Peter served as President for several of those years. I can think of no single person, other than David Balding, more dedicated to the survival and advancement of the Circus than Peter Bunce. What a good man! He truly made the world a better place. I miss David. I miss Peter. God bless them both!

Peter's passing is a great loss for his family and many friends and for the community of Monmouth College. He remained active at the trustees meetings over so many years, always interested in the topics at hand (however changing); embracing other people's ideas; and sharing his unique perspective and special brand of intelligence, always in a non-intimidating way. I always looked forward to him speaking at our trustees meetings. I will truly miss him.
To Gayle, the other half of a special couple, you and your family will continue to be in my prayers.

Peter was just a wonderful person. He was an enormous help to Monmouth College and me personally during my career at the College. In addition to his formal role on the Board of Trustees, he often called just to see how things were going and that would often lead to an hour long conversation. He was always good humored, thoughtful, gracious and kind. I will miss him. My sincere condolences to Gail and family.

I was acquainted with Peter years ago when I was a secretary with Bunce Corporation and he was always a kind, considerate "boss" and would always have a friendly word for employees. I would occasionally see him during the years after I left Bunce at various spots for lunch. Whether he actually remembered me or not he was always gracious and available for a few words. My condolences to his family and now, rest and find your peace, Peter. God Bless you and your family

Peter was one of the kindest, most intelligent, generous, well-read, and handsomest men in Saint Louis. I loved to get reading tips from him! More importantly, I respect and appreciate the many efforts he made during his long and meaningful life to make Saint Louis a more vibrant place to live. Together, he and Gail have been a force for good here. I am grateful that my path crossed with theirs and will cherish his memory.
