Edison, Julian Irving May 8, 2017, age 87, beloved husband of Hope Edison; cherished father of Mark (Ilaina) Edison and Aaron Edison; loving grandfather of Sam and Isabel; son of the late Mark and Ida Edison; brother of the late Evelyn (Eric) Newman; brother-inlaw of Jane Rabb; dear uncle, cousin and friend. A Harvard graduate and lifelong St. Louis businessman, Julian was devoted to his family and his city. He was passionate about books, art, education, Mozart, chocolate and a good joke. Services: Funeral service Thursday, May 11, 12:00 pm at Congregation Temple Israel, Ladue and Spoede Roads. No visitation prior to service. Private family interment. I just heard about julians sad passing. I know him as a great book collector and his exhibitions from his miniature book collection were always fantastic.

I got to know Julian through my years of calling on Edison Brothers. He always had time to say hello, always the gentleman. I would run into Julian probably once a year and he was always generous in taking time to stop for a little conversation. The world needs more like Julian Edison.....not fewer.
