I'm so sorry to read about Jo. She was our mail lady here at Key North (southwest unincorporated Ft. Lauderdale) during the '80s and part of the '90s. We're about the same age and would always talk for a few minutes when I'd see her. I was running then, and she was always fit and trim, an attractive lady. And her smile lit up her whole face. I had a rottweiler named Murphy so we had a common bond there too! I just really like her. We all really missed her when she changed routes as our mail was never wrong when Jo was on the job. She was really conscientious and pleasant, and I was so sorry to see her change routes. Occasionally I'd see her at Pak & Ship or Publix or driving down the road on her other route just to wave or say hi; she was sorely missed in both ways, her being the best at delivering mail and also her great attitude and personality. I gave her a Do You Know For Sure track one year and I believe she told me she trusted Jesus as her Savior, for which I am so thankful. I pray that you, her family and friends, will find great comfort in knowing you will be together again one day, forever. That is the wonderful hope we have in Him. And He is Faithful. You've lost a wonderful woman, and I pray for your comfort at this time as you lean on Him. Nancy Brethauer Blaire

Jo had been our mail carrier for the past several years and she was THE BEST, the friendliest and the most caring person. Before she was our carrier, we all on our street got mail that wasn't ours and our mail was constantly being mis-delivered. Jo almost immediately fixed that problem and for that we all thank her. But it was her smiling face and friendly greeting each day that I will remember the most. She was just a terrific lady and we will miss her always. You, her family, have our deepest sympathy. You have lost a very special person, as I'm sure you know.
