Jean C. Worrall

Jean C. Worrall, Tallahassee, FL, passed away October 29, 2011, following an extended illness.

Ms. Worrall was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on February 1, 1927, to Genevieve and Peter Mitchell. She graduated from Charles Brush High School, South Euclid, Ohio, and completed business school before beginning her career in Real Estate sales. She married Kenneth E. Parsch in February of 1950, and the couple had two daughters. Following the death of her husband in October 1972, Jean moved her family to Tallahassee, Florida and worked with Noblin Realty.

In 1979 Jean married Robert G. Worrall, and the couple founded Magnificent Marble Company, where they worked together manufacturing cultured marble products for the building industry. Jean never missed a chance to stay active, and for several years worked for Enterprise Rental Cars, driving vehicles between Enterprise offices throughout the southeast. She later had a Home Cleaning Service which she ran until health issues forced her to retire. She was a past member of the St. Marks Yacht Club, Tallahassee Ski Group and the Spanish Crew for Springtime Tallahassee.

Ms Worrall was predeceased by her husband, Robert G. Worrall and twin sister, Ruth Kovar. She is survived by daughters, Penny Church, and Pamela Parsch, grandchildren Daniel Parsch, Charles Church III, Rebecca Church Luciano, Adam Church, great grandchildren, Ava and Tristan Luciano, step daughter Nancy Worrall Showler (Edmonton, Ontario), brothers Robert Mitchell (Galesburg, IL) and Peter Mitchell.

A Celebration of her life will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Culley's MeadowWood Timberlane Road Chapel.

She will be greatly missed by her many dear friends and extended family members.

Pam and Penny, I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Your photos show your mother was a very accomplished woman, always willing to try a new challenge with a wide smile. But more important, she was always surrounded by her very dear family. Jean could not have had more loving daughters!

Mom and Grandma Jean was a huge part of my life. I was blessed that Dad married such an amazing woman that treated me like a daughter even though she had two beautiful daughters of her own. Our family holds so many special memories and shared lots of laughs over the years. Jamie, Kimberly, Steve and I will miss you dearly. She is now amongst the angels but her spirit lives on for eternity. My heart goes out to the rest of the family!

Pam, Penny and Families. We are saddened to learn of Jeans passing. What a neat lady! She was so proud of you girls and your families. Jean was always so "spunky" and full of life, even through tough times.
We will not be able to attend the service next week, however, we did go today, just a week early.
Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
