Scrap lived next door to me on Mallory St. She was always very kind to me who was 4 years younger. When I was in the first grade and she was in the 6th at West Riverside grammar school, she walked with me to school every day and back home and was my protector. We had lunch together every WEdnesday when our mothers were at their sewing club. In those days children came home for lunch and went back to school for 2 hours in the afternoon. I will always remember her wonderful wedding day at noon and how she and Bill left at noon in the rain which seemed very romantic. Scrap was a wonderful neighbor. Palmy Daniel Thompson
