Harrison HOPPER IV

HOPPER, Harrison IV Tarpon Springs, loving husband of 44 years to Mary Jane, and devoted father to Cristina Fischer, and "Beepaw" to grandchildren Joshua, Ashley, and Jennifer, passed away on Nov. 3, 2011, at Hospice Brookside of cancer. Harrison was a graduate of St. Pete Junior College and University of Florida. His professional success was within the circuit board industry where he was co-owner of a circuit board plotting firm in Largo. In retirement, Harrison enjoyed his love for all things electronic by becoming involved in the online technical community and worked as a contributing editor for several online blogs. Harrison was never without his wonderful (and sometimes dry) sense of humor, he was known and loved for his fairness, generosity, compassion and loyalty. In addition to his career and hobbies, Harrison was also primary caregiver to his disabled wife "MJ." Harrison will be missed incredibly by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at 1 pm at the Hospice House Brookside in Palm Harbor all family and friends are invited to join us. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to Hospice Suncoast. Also, in memory of Harrison and his battle against prostate cancer, we ask that all of his male friends honor his memory by having an annual screening for prostate cancer.
