Richard Roudebush Obituary

Richard A. "Dick" Roudebush, 65, died May 18, 2011, in Adams Memorial Hospital. He was born in Decatur, Ind., lived in Decatur and was formerly of Fort Pierce. Before retiring, he was a self-employed truck driver. He also owned and operated a body shop for more than 30 years. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Post 43. Survivors include his former wife, Suzanne Roudebush of Berne, Ind.; daughters, Stacy A. Reckard and Tracy D. Roudebush, both of Berne; brothers, Ron Roudebush of Farmington, Mo., and Tom Roudebush of Decatur; sister, Judy Pickens of Decatur; half brother, David Lee of Decatur; half sisters, Maria Confer of Normandy, Tenn., and Vicki Fisher of Fort Wayne, Ind.; stepbrothers, Jack Lee of Fort Wayne and Duane Lee of Brandon; and stepsister, Dixie Kautz of Bluffton, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents, James H. Roudebush and Audrey A. Lee; and half sister, Kathy Thomas. Memorial contributions may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars for soldiers overseas at vfw.org. Services: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. May 23 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. A service will be at 11 a.m. May 24 at the funeral home with Pastor Dan York officiating. Burial will be in Ray Cemetery in Monroe, Ind., with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post 43 Color Guard. A guestbook is available at haggardandsefton.com.
