John Houghton Obituary
He was born in Warren son of Edgar and Daisy (Kellweather) Houghton and was a long time Ware resident. He was an asbestos removal supervisor at Umass-Amherst. He was a communicant of All Saints Church, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. John was a 20 year veteran of the Ware Fire Dept. call force.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday from the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St. with a Mass at 10:30 a.m in All Saints Church. Calling Hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Baystate Hospice, 50 Maple St. Springfield Ma. 01102, or to the Oncology Dept. of Wing Memorial Hospital, 40 Wright St. Palmer Ma. 01069.

John was an exceptional person. Knowing him and working with him are some of my fondest memories. I remember him playing tunes on his harmonica to keep us entertained at the Fine Arts Ctr./UMass. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all his family and friends.

John, and his sisters were the best baby sitters that we ever had!!!!!!!! Our family goes back a very long way. You taking care of us, then we tacking care of your children.
