Richard Clapham Obituary
West Brookfield - Richard S. "Red" Clapham, Sr., 77, died on Monday, May 1, 2017.
He leaves his son, Richard S. Clapham, Jr. and his wife Denise of Hubbardston; his daughter, Darlene Hines and her husband Craig of Oxford; four grandchildren, David, Joshua, Shelby and Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Hines and Timothy Clapham; his brother, Ronald Clapham of Florida, and his beloved canine, Abby. Richard was the son of the late Stanley and Natalie (Burnham) Clapham of Shrewsbury.
Mr. Clapham was the owner of Clapham Trucking in Worcester.
He was a former member of the First Congregational Church of West Brookfield, and loved hunting, fishing, word working, gardening, and watching the birds.
A Funeral Service for Richard will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10:00AM in the First Congregational Church of West Brookfield, 36 North Main St., West Brookfield. A calling hour will be held at the church prior to the service, from 9 to 10AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, Inc, P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515 or the Sharing Cupboard Food Pantry - First Congregational Church of West Brookfield, P.O. Box 371, West Brookfield, MA 01585. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting his family with arrangements.
