Born September 21, 1949 in Nashville, grew up in Hermitage. Retired from Ford Glass plant, Nashville after 30 years.
Preceded by parents, James Clarence & Mabel Hight Tayes; and daughter, Becky Tayes.
Survived by son, Steve Tayes; grandchildren, Lyric Johnson, Kain Haley and Micah Haley; brothers, Joseph Tayes and Jeff (Angelia) Tayes.
Services Saturday, 2:30pm, Sellars at Mt. Juliet with Bro. James Tucker officiating. Interment following at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Harry Burnett, Harold Anderson, Dave Foster, Jr., Jimmy Bonisa, Frank Litchford and John Wilson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: Ronald Bond, Delbert Bright, Scott Pieburn, Friends of Hermitage Community and Ford Glass Plant Employees.
Visitation will be Friday, 4-8pm and Saturday, 12:30 until time of service.

My Condolences for Tonys family. Tony and I went Mt Juliet school 1966, 1967, some really fond memories of him. Thoughts and prayers for his family and friends.

Our Deepest Sympathy for the loss of Tony. I was driving by Sellars & saw his name & had to looked it up to see if it was him such a shock. I always saw him at Stylemasters with his Mom and Aunt. The last time i saw him was at Kroger and he was telling me about his new Mustang.J.L. worked with him at Ford. He will be truly missed!!!!
