Cindy Hulin Obituary

Cindy Marie Hulin

LAFAYETTE - Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 11, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Cindy Marie Hulin, 50, who passed away on March 8, 2011 at 2:30 am at her residence.

Reverend Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of St. Edmond Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Hulin, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of Eldridge Joseph Barras of St. Martinville, Louisiana and Shirley Blanchard Barras of New Iberia, Louisiana.

Surrounded by her beloved family and friends, affectionately known to many of her loved ones as "Nanny" or "Tauntee", Cindy was escorted by angels to meet her Savior in the sweet timing of her Lord Jesus. To ALL who knew and loved her, Cindy was a remarkable example of faith, strength, and family love. She marched an unwavering march of courage and valor during this past year: yet, always putting her love for her family and friends first.

Cindy was a caretaker of many throughout her life. She always had the company of little children with her; to all of who she taught to love and care about family. It was evident to everyone who knew her that she loved to have family around her at all times?for Cindy, there was no greater joy!

She was a devoted mother and wife and a joy to everyone that met her. Cindy was a beacon of light and an example to all of us. She truly loved her life and made it clear that she loved her children, husband, family, and friends. Her humor was strong and slight, but she knew how to make you smile every time! A lover of "tie-dye", ocean breezes, angels, and their dogs Beau and Moosey, what else can one say? She will be greatly missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have shared in her experience of life? we will always love her and remember her joy of Jesus. May the Lord give us the strength to rejoice with her as she goes on to be with Our Father in Heaven.

She is survived by Husband, J. Eric Hulin of Lafayette; one daughter, Danielle Hulin of Lafayette; two sons, Travis John Hulin of New Iberia, and Nicholas James Hulin and his wife, Amanda of New Iberia; her father, Eldridge J. Barras of Lafayette; one sister, Sarah Mallet and her husband, Larry of New Iberia; one brother, Nathan Barras and his wife, Liz of Broussard; nieces and nephews, Emily, Britany, Amber, Ashley, Erica, Ian, Grant, Zack, and Chase; her mother and father -in-law, Camay and John D. Hulin of New Iberia; and her brother and sister-in-laws, Michael Hulin of New Iberia, Gregory Hulin of New Iberia, and Rene Hulin of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Shirley Blanchard Barras; one sister, Shelley M. Barras; her brother-in-law, Karl Hulin.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and will continue on Friday from 8:00 am until service time at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette.

A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Frank Cormier Thursday at 6:30 pm in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Blanchard, Richard Blanchard, Aaron Blanchard, Nathan Barras, Ian Barras, Amber Mallet.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Greg Hulin, Michael Hulin, Larry Kohnke, Stephen Woods, Larry Mallet, and Brent Blanchard.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Mrs Cindy was an example to all, as she endured with such eloquence and grace. May you rest in peace and delight our memories with the infectious smiles and positivity! ....Love knows no end...

From: Bishop Jarvis Harmon, Sr.

God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away .In his favor is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
May God Bless You All In Jesus
