Joyce Guidry Boutin

LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at a 12:00 PM Catholic Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Joyce Guidry Boutin, 80, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum in Lafayette.

The Very Reverend W. Curtis Mallet, JCL, VG will officiate the services. Musical selections will be, "I Know My Redeemer Lives", "If Tomorrow Never Comes", "Do Not Let Your Hearts Be Troubled" and "Coming Home".

Survivors include one son, Leroy Joseph Boutin of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Heath Boutin, Bradley Boutin, Lacie Vincent, Cody Boutin, Taylor Boutin and Kaylie Boutin; seven great grandchildren, Madison Vincent, Mackenzie Gautreaux, Christian Boutin, Andre' Hebert, Austin Benoit, Carson Benoit and Bryce Boutin; two brothers, Louis Guidry and Dalton Guidry; and her nieces and nephews, Toot Serrette, Valley Alleman, Bobby Guidry, Barry Guidry, Ellen Guidry, Ray Guidry, Gean Tauzin, Sandy Guidry, James Guidry, Linda Guidry Breaux, Kathy Guidry, Kirk Guidry, Kenny Guidry, Brenda Hayes, Deborah Landry, Darrell Serrette and Daisy Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley Joseph Boutin; her parents, Mattais and Edith Patin Guidry; three brothers, Leroy Guidry, Ivy Guidry and Ovey Guidry; one sister, Edna Guidry McGee;

A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, Mrs. Boutin was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing and in her younger days, loved to race boats. Mrs. Boutin was also a member of the Lafayette Boating Club. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Boutin, Cody Boutin, Heath Boutin, Bobby Guidry, Andre' Hebert, Leroy Boutin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lester Serrette, Darrell Serrette and Brad Boutin.

A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of services.

My deepest sympathy to the Boutin family. Ms. Joyce and my mom were friends back in the Joy St. days. She was a wonderful person and family friend.

Aunt Joyce was always fun to be with she was young at heart. In loving memory of a wonderful person we celebrate a life well lived. We will forever cherish our memories of her, we will love and miss her always. God Bless you and now keep you safe in his arms.
