A paramedic, he passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at his home in Houston. He was 47 and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Crespo Funeral Home, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003, on Thursday, Dec. 13, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cremation to follow. Survived by his wife, Estafana Moralez Nix; parents, J. Kelly Nix and Jo'Ann Nix; daughters, Kelly Ann Nix, Rachel Dawn Nix, and Thora Dane Nix; stepson, Michael Moralez; sisters, Elizabeth Nix Bond and husband Harold Bond, Emily Nix Ard, and Jennifer Nix Marionneaux and husband Brad Marionneaux; and godmother, Geraldine Byargeon, of Oak Grove. Preceded in death by his grandparents, TJ and Lillian Nix, and Oenia McCurdy Vaughters. Honorary pallbearers are his nephews, Landon Marionneaux, Damien Ard and Seth Ard, and nieces, Laken Marionneaux and Leah Bond. He was a member of the Brickwall Firm where he developed many close friendships.
