Adrien Bilodeau Obituary

WATERBURY - Adrien W. Bilodeau, 89, of Waterbury, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Beacon Brook Rehabilitation Center in Naugatuck. He was the widow of Mary (Cormier) Bilodeau.

Mr. Bilodeau was born June 4, 1921 in Manchester, N.H., son of the late Alfred and Virginie (Gagne) Bilo-deau. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran serving with the Company B, O.S.S., 2671st Special Recon Battalion, and received the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with 1 Bronze Service Star, the Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart, World War II Victory Ribbon, and the American Theatre of Operations Ribbon with 1 Overseas Bar. For many years he was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 41 and he always enjoyed a friendly game of golf.

Mr. Bilodeau leaves his sons, Richard Bilodeau and his wife, Rosanne, of Wallingford, Donald Bilodeau and his wife, Kathleen, of Wolcott, and David Bilodeau and his wife, Carmela, of Waterbury; his daughter, Janet Druan and her husband, Richard, of Wolcott; son-in-law, Anthony Angelicola; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Angelicola.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m., from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott, to St. Michael Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow at Cal-vary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to Shrine of St. Anne Restoration Fund, 515 South Main St., Waterbury, CT 06706.
