EMMA JEAN BARFIELD Production Worker LAKELAND - Emma Jean Barfield, 70, went to be with the Lord Friday, August 28, 2015. She was born in Ocilla, GA April 11, 1937, and came to Lakeland in 1945. Emma was a member of Kathleen Baptist Church. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, C. J. and Vester Johnson; husband, Robert E. Barfield, Sr.; brother, J. C. Buchannon; sisters, Dorothy Hampton, Johnnie Whitman, Bessie Johnson, and Elizabeth Lanier. She is survived by sons, Robert Barfield and Steven Bar-field; daughter, Loma Pal-mes; grandsons, Adam Palmes and Charles Styron; granddaughter, Nic-hole Stevens; great grandsons, Jacob Palmes, Ethan Stevens, Adam Stevens, and Greyson Stevens; great granddaughter, Lillian Palmes. A visitation will be held 10:00am to 11:00am Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Kathleen Baptist Church. The funeral will be at 11:00am Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in Socrum Cemetery.

Bell, Tammy Wiggins  
TAMMY WIGGINS BELL, 52 FORT MEADE - Mrs. Tammy Wiggins Bell, 52, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015, in Lakeland, FL. Tammy was born January 11, 1963, in Bartow, FL and was a life long resident of Fort Meade. Tammy was a homemaker, mother and wife, the most honorable profession. She was a graduate of Fort Meade High School, Class of 1981. Sweet Tammy, our angel on earth has been called home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ, who she served daily. Tammy was a very faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade where she served on the bereavement committee, serving food to countless families, and she was an active teacher in the yearly Vacation Bible School program. She was preceded in death by her father, Horace Wiggins and her grandmother, Wanda 'Granny' Westbrook. Tammy is survived by the love of her life of 38 years, Ronnie Bell; sons, Tanner Bell and Hunter Bell; daughter, Kaylee Bell, all of Fort Meade, FL; mother, Barbara Jean Westbrook Lucky of Fort Meade, FL; brother, John Wiggins of Bartow, FL; sisters, Judy Bobbitt of Bartow, FL, Barbara Ann Dempsey of Fort Meade, FL, Donna Hartsaw of Bartow, FL, Tina Colvin of Bartow, FL, and Jenny Lucky of Fort Meade, FL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Virginia Bell of Fort Meade, FL; brothers-in-law, Robbie Bell and wife Melony, Paul Bell and wife Kim, all of Fort Meade, FL; sister-in-law, Leigh Bell Belcher and husband Joe of Fort Meade, FL; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 9:00a.m. - 11:00a.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at the First Baptist Church, 307 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will be held in the church sanctuary at 11:00a.m. with Rev. Kenny Slay and Rev. Marion Sortore officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade. Bostick, Guy - Winter Haven  
GUY BOSTICK WINTER HAVEN - Guy Bostick passed away at home Friday, August 28, 2015, at the age of 94. He was born September 12, 1920, in Hazelhurst, Geo-rgia, as the youngest of 11 children. He was a self-made man whose principal focus in life was hard work and that, along with his business acumen, can be credited for his success. He was a man dedicated to his family, his business, the trucking industry, and the communities of Winter Haven and Auburndale. One day in the mid-1940's, Guy, a Florida State Highway Patrolman, traded his family car as a down payment on a truck of his own. By 1949, he was ready to focus on what would become his life's work. He founded Bostick Distributors in a small truck stop near Winter Haven, Florida and that led to the beginning of the Commercial Carrier Corporation fleet, which was incorporated in 1953. While continuously expanding, he realized that there were areas into which he could diversify. Aided by his wife, Jan, and his two sons, Bill and Mark, Bostick created a company culture where employees are treated like family. Today the Comcar family of companies is involved in trucking, warehousing, truck parts as well as truck and trailer repairs. Comcar has grown from its humble beginnings to spread across the continental United States. Guy had a long list of personal and civic achievements. He was a past chairman of the Board of Trustees of Winter Haven Hospital and served on the board for many years. He was a past president and lifetime director of Florida Trucking Association and served as a member of the Governor's Transportation Policy Study Commission, Executive Committee Florida State Chamber of Commerce, member of the National Defense Executive Reserve, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Associated Industries of Florida, Board of Directors of First National Bank of Winter Haven, Board of Directors of Lake Region Yacht and Country Club, State Board of Education Study Commission on vocational education, Governor's Study Commission on Judicial Reform, TECO Energy, Inc, and Tampa Electric Company. He was a member of the Florida Council of 100, State Board of Directors First Union National Bank, Board of Directors Associated Industries of Florida, Leadership Giving Committee, United Way of Central Florida. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven, American Legion, Shrine Club, University of Florida Gator Boosters as a Distinguished Director, and was awarded an honorary membership in University of Florida Alumni Association and Florida Blue Key. He was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life, Esther Jeannette Bostick, in 2004. Guy and Jan were married for 62 years. They had two sons, Bill (Wendy) Bostick and Mark (Patti) Bostick; 10 grandchildren, Kimberly (Matt) McCulley, Kristen (Steven) Dotson, William Guy III and Logan Bostick, Elizabeth Huszagh, William Huszagh, Jean Bostick, Barrett (Anna) Bostick, Betsy (Craig) Wengler of Maryland, Jenni Lingenfelter, Scott Lingenfelter; 11 great grandchildren, Trett Ray, Trenan Ray, and Isabella McCulley, William Morrison, Trace Morrison, Jesse Willis, Taylor Willis, William Guy Bostick IV, (Barnes) Mark Barrett Bostick Belle Wengler, Guy Wengler. A memorial service for Guy Bostick will be held at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven on September 3, 2015. MARY E. CADWALADER, 65 AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Mary E. Cadwalader, 65, passed away August 26, 2015, in Winter Haven. Mrs. Cadwalader was born in Girardville, PA and had lived in this area since 1989. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven. Mrs. Cadwalader enjoyed making jewelry, cooking and sewing. She is survived by her husband, Richard Cadwalader of Auburndale; son, Richard Cadwalader Jr. of Arkadelphia, AK; brother, Charles Kelly of Boston, MA; sister, Roseann Pronden of Ashland, PA; and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at 11AM at Kersey Funeral Home in Auburndale with visitation beginning at 10AM.

CHRISTENSEN, RICHARD L. - Racine  
RICHARD L. CHRISTENSEN, 72 LAKELAND - Richard L. Christensen of Lakeland, Florida passed away Monday August 17th at Lakeland Regional Medical Center at the age of 72. He was born to Russell and Agnes Christensen on January 23rd, 1943 in Mankato, Minnesota and was a graduate of Mankato University. Richard also earned a Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. Following his education, Richard entered the teaching profession and worked in Racine, Wisconsin until 1979, he then went into the insurance industry until his retirement. In 1990, Richard made the move from Wisconsin to Florida, where he could enjoy his hobbies of golf, boating and fishing on a year round basis. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Linda in 2006. Those left to cherish Richards memory are his sons; Peter (Jennifer) of Oviedo, Fl., Joshua of Waterford, Wi., Patrick of Pleasant Prairie, Wi.; his stepdaughter Paula Belanger and stepson Kevin Belanger, both of Daytona Beach, Fl., and his grandchildren; Morgan, Taylor, Trent, Sam, Alexa, Nick, and Dylan Christensen. Richard is also survived by his brothers; Jim, Steve (Susan), Mark, and Robert (Debbie), his sister Ann (Doug) Andersen, and many nephews, nieces and friends. Services were held this past week at Lohman Funeral Home in Daytona Beach, Fl., and Richard was laid to rest in Daytona Memorial Park. EARLINE COTTERILL, 82 LAKELAND - Earline Cotterill, 82, went to her heavenly home on Wed-nesday, August 26, 2015. She was born August 12, 1933, in Phil Campbell, Alabama to Farley and Allie Mae Freeman then moved to Akron, Ohio. Her family moved from Stow, Ohio to Lakeland, Florida in 1968. She worked for Publix as a Bakery Manager retiring from the Southgate Publix. She enjoyed working puzzles and going to garage sales. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Scog-gins; sons, Robert Cotterill and Larry Cotterill; 6 grandchildren; and 3 step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert A. Cotterill; daughter, Carla Day; brother, Neil Freeman; and sister, Hel-en Freeman. A visitation will be held at 9am on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at the Lakeland Funeral Home, 2125 S. Bartow Road, Lakeland, Florida with a funeral service at 10am. Interment will follow the service in the Oak Hill Burial Park, also in Lakeland.

Daane, Earl  
EARL DAANE WINTER HAVEN - Earl Daane, 75, went home to be with Jesus, Tuesday, August 25, 2015, while camping in Wisconsin. Earl was born October 7, 1939, in Fairwater, WI to Harry and Mary Daane. Earl married Betty Riel January 3, 1958, in Waupun, WI and retired in 1998, from Rock River Generating Station; having worked over 30 years for WI Power & Light Company. Earl and Betty later retired to Winter Haven, FL in 2000. Throughout his life, Earl was committed to serving God. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and visiting friends. He was an avid fan of Southern Gospel music and attended many concerts. Earl is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty; daughters, Debra Lukas (Dennis) of Grand Marsh, WI and Tammy Daane of Lakeland, FL; granddaughter 'the apple of his eye', Naomi Lukas; brother, Harvey Daane (Elaine); sister, Harriett Degener (Douglas - deceased); and close family friend, Judy Gard. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Daane. Earl was loved by many and will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, beginning with visitation from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene, 4777 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, FL. Burial will be private. Arrangements by Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel.

Donato, Gloria Jean Martin - Cleveland  
GLORIA JEAN MARTIN DONATO LAKELAND - Gloria Jean Martin Donato, 90, passed away at her winter home in Lakeland, Florida on August 15, 2015. Born on May 11, 1925, in Zanesville, Ohio she lived most of her entire adult life in Shaker Heights and University Heights, Ohio. Gloria had a knack for business and was an authority on antiques. She owned Larchmere West Antiques, in Shaker Heights, for almost 20 years, and continued appraising and selling antiques long after giving up her shop. Gloria also had a flair for interior design and could make the most insignificant item look like a million dollars. Gloria and Arthur were members of Plymouth Church for more than 50 years and were married in the Plymouth Church Chapel in 1958. Gloria was the daughter of Reba Fitzmorris and Mark Martin and the sister to Betty who preceded her in death and the bride of Arthur Donato who died in 2008. Her children, Mark L. Miller, Deborah Miller-Strong, Steven C. Donato, and Timothy A. Donato; her seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren survive her. A memorial service will take place in the spring of 2016, to celebrate her life, her birthday and Mot-her's Day. Please make any donations in her name to Plymouth Ch-urch of Shaker Heights, Ohio.
