BATH, CHARLES LEMUEL  
CHARLES LEMUEL BATH, 79 Farmer LAKELAND - Charles Lemuel Bath went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 29, 2016. He was born on August 25, 1936, in Lakeland, Florida to Waldo and Maude Bath. Lemuel is survived by a large family including his wife, Sandra; children, Michael Bath, Nancy (Burley) Lilley, Carrie (Tim) Redden, and Robert (Amber) Williams; grandchildren, Dustin (Jessica) Bailey, Britney (Josh) Grier, Meghan Mulvihill, Olivia Miserandino, Kelsey and Jordon Lilley, Luke and Lillie Redden, Cole and Keen Williams, Ashley and Steven Spears; great grandchildren, Ethan and Avery Bailey; and siblings J.D. (Shirley) Bath, Benny (Michele) Bath, Mickey (Tuyet) Bath, and Debbie (Jack) Davis. Lemuel was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sister, Dorothy, Billy, Tommy, Gerald, and Ronnie. Lemuel was a lifelong resident of Lakeland and is mourned by countless extended family members and friends. Lemuel was a strong Christian man and a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a founding member of Gibsonia Baptist Church. Lemuel was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving in Germany and worked for City of Lakeland Electric. He started his own business harvesting and growing hay. The Bath Bar-B-Q was a favorite spring event for North Lakeland. Lemuel delighted in fellowship with everyone and was a true role model and inspiration. Services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church on Monday, May 2, 2016, at noon, preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts be sent to: MD Anderson https://mdanderson.org or Inheritance of Hope http://inheritanceofhope.org .

Bingham, Ruth E. (Combee)  
RUTH E. (COMBEE) BINGHAM LAKELAND - Ruth E. (Combee) Bingham went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2016, after 92 rich years of life on Earth. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emmie Ballard Combee; her father, John Combee; her sister, Nola Deeson; her husband, Charles 'Bill' W. Bingham; and her daughter, Eva Ruth Stewart. She is survived by her son, Charles R. Bingham (Faye); grandchildren, Christina Stewart (David), Brian Stewart (Kim), Charles D. Bingham (Juanita), and Charlene Ross (Trent); and great grandchildren, Alex Bingham, Nolan Ross, Kaleb Ross, Brianna Bing-ham, Audrey Ross, and Samuel Bingham. She had a servant's heart and happily, quietly met the needs of many people around her. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist church, preschool teacher and homemaker. She loved fishing and camping with her husband, Bill, family & friends. Visitation will be on Monday, May 2, 2016, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Services will be Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 10:00AM. Both will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 2125 S. Bartow Hwy., Lakeland, FL 33801.

Burbank, Carl G. - Davenport  
CARL G. BURBANK DAVENPORT - Carl G. Burbank passed away peacefully in his Davenport, Florida home on Sunday, April 24, 2016, while surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Hiram, Maine on January 1, 1931. He spent most of his childhood in Eliot, Maine and was a 1950 graduate of Eliot High School. Carl enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1951, and served one full tour. In 1956, he began a long career working as an installer and line repairman for AT&T later known as NYNEX, he worked from both the Greenland and Dover-Somersworth locations and retired in 1986. Carl met his second wife, Verna, while working with the telephone company and they were married in 1977. After retirement they spent their summers at home on Mousam Lake in Shapleigh, Maine and winters in Florida until relocating permanently to Davenport in 1997. Carl was recently awarded a 50 year service medal from the Grand Lodge of Maine for his dedication as a freemason and he loved playing cribbage with family and friends. Carl was predeceased by his daughter, Brenda Lee Burbank; his brother, Lucian Burbank; as well as his mother, Olive Kimball Leavitt. He is survived by his wife, Verna Burbank; sister, Lucille Melhorn of Kittery, Maine; daughter, Diane (husband, Tom) Morse of Severn, Maryland; daughter, Carol Bradshaw of Tucson, Arizona; daughter, Susan LaChance of Merritt Island, Florida; daughter, Lisa (husband, Jeffrey) Thibeault of Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as his stepdaughter, Lynda (husband, Dan) Flynn of Sebastian, Florida; and a stepson, Albert Ferrin, III of York, Maine. Carl was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews whom will also miss him dearly. A celebration of life will be held in Maine at a currently undetermined date or location. Family and friends will be notified when arrangements are made. In lieu of flowers, Carl would have been honored to have donations made in his memory to the Polk County Humane Society in Winter Haven, Florida or to any Shriners Hospitals for Children of the giver's choosing.

LACEY N. CLANTON FORT MEADE - Mr. Lacey N. Clanton, 63, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Melech Hospice in Temple Terrace, FL. Lacey was born February 24, 1953, in Bartow, FL, and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. He was a self-employed roofer and mechanic, a 1973 graduate of Fort Meade High School, and a member of the Fort Meade Worship Center. Lacey was preceded in death by his parents, R.L. and RenaBelle Coleman Clanton, and brother, Robert Clanton. He is survived by his daughters, Victoria Clanton and Sarah Nelson, both of Fort Meade, FL, and Amanda Rodriguez, Highland City, FL; brothers, Raymond Clanton and David Clanton, both of Fort Meade, FL; sister, Frances Poole, Cadwell, GA; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Christ Church/Fort Meade Worship Center, 1 N. Cleveland Ave., Fort Meade with Rev. Dan Brockman officiating. VIOLET M. COMER LAKELAND - Violet M. Comer, 80, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016. She was born in Charleston, WV and moved to Lakeland 50 years ago. She was a member of Victory Church. Violet loved Church, being with family, loved her grandchildren, gardening and growing flowers. She is survived by her sons, Leon (Marie) Comer and Terry (Kellie) Comer; daughters, Karen Malloy, Angela (Mike) Gaffney, and Jeannie (David) Mc-Innes; brothers, Vernon Clark, Gary Clark, and Marshall Clark; sister, Sue Workman; 4 grandchildren, Jeannie, Jessica, Michael, and Kayla; and 7 great grandchildren, Madison, Ryleigh, Antonio, Gabriel, Brody, Jake, and Gavin. EBERSOLE, DANIEL BYRON "DANNY"  
DANIEL 'DANNY'BYRON EBERSOLE, 89 LAKELAND - Daniel Byron Ebersole, 89, passed away on April 23, 2016. Danny was born on December 12, 1926 in Arcadia, Florida to Glenn and Dora Ebersole, where his family owned the local newspaper, 'The Arcadian,' and Ebersole Publishing company. He graduated from high school in 1944 and enlisted in the Army Air Force. He attended Davidson College and North Georgia College and was an Aviation Cadet when World War II ended. He attended the University of Florida and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He returned to Arcadia to help with the family business where he met and married Hazel Dees on September 10, 1950. He was very active in local organizations, being president of the Arcadia Kiwanis Club, DeSoto Chamber of Commerce, founder of the Arcadia Jaycees and served several terms on the Arcadia City Council. He was eventually hired away from The Arcadian by Graham-Jones Paper Company which was eventually sold to Mead Paper Company. During his time with them he was transferred to Orlando, Florida in 1969 and then to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1972 where he lived until moving to Lakeland in 1996 to be near his only child and his grandchildren. During his retirement he enjoyed volunteering at Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine and the Polk Theater as well as working at the Lakeland Center. An Eagle Scout as a boy, he never lost his love of the outdoors whether it was working in the yard, camping, hunting, or fishing. Always one for adventure, he had a professional crabbing license in his 50s, learned to windsurf in his 60s, learned to snow ski in his 70s, and got his scuba certification at age 79 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Hazel Ebersole; one son, Dr. Douglas Ebersole of Lakeland; his daughter-in-law, Dr. Carol Ebersole of Lakeland; two grandchildren, Kimberly Infield of Atlanta, Georgia and Eric Ebersole of Lakeland, Florida; and one brother, William Ebersole of Gainesville, Florida. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, Florida May 11 at 11 AM.

LEE, STANTON K.  
STANTON K. LEE, 94 1921-2016 LAKELAND - Stanton 'Stan' Lee has joined his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth, and his grandson, Andrew Lindeman, in Heaven, on April 28, 2016. Stan never met a stranger on his travels throughout the world. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He loved nature and enjoyed feeding the squirrels who will miss his daily visits up and down Grasslands Blvd. Stan proudly served during WWII in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Military after 20 years of service and moved to St. Pete Beach, FL where he worked for the Florida Welfare Service for another 20 years. Stan is survived by his children, Dr. David (Ka-ren) Lee of Lakeland and Karen (Mike) Stockstill of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Bryan D. Lee of Boston, MA and Alyssa (Brett) Morris of Arlington, VA, who is expecting his first great grandchild in May. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016, at 12pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
