ROBERT PRINCE Obituary

ROBERT BRIAN
PRINCE, 34
Firefighter / Paramedic

LAKELAND - Mr. Robert 'Brian' Prince died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at his home. He was 34. Born in Winter Haven on January 20, 1981, he moved to Lakeland in 1989. He married his wife, Leigh, on February 19, 2015. Brian attended Lake Shipp Elementary, Scott Lake Elementary, Valleyview Elementary, Lakeland Highlands Middle, and George Jenkins High School.
Brian was a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Reedy Creek Fire Department at Disney World and an Instructor in the Emergency Medical Services program at Polk State College in Winter Haven. Previously, Brian served with Polk County Fire Rescue for 12 years. He was a graduate of Polk State College and Ridge Fire Academy.
He was an avid photographer, aerospace enthusiast, technology fanatic, Disney maniac, and stargazer. Brian enjoyed science, problem solving, and having the latest gadget before you did.
Brian was a kind soul who loved life, his family, his friends, and his neighbors. His concern for others caused him to make serving others his career. He was passionate about every endeavor, always offered a contagious smile, and proved himself to be a loving and reliable friend at all times. Most importantly, he was a loyal and loving son, and an eager and excited father-to-be who loved his wife with all his heart.
Brian is survived by his mother, Connie (Wilkinson) Prince and father, Robert Michael Prince, both of Lakeland; his wife, Leigh (Strickland) Prince, their unborn child due in May, and his three 'puppies', Kobe, Tucker, and Layla.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 3p.m. in the George Jenkins High School auditorium located at 6000 Lakeland Highlands Rd., Lakeland. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established for his widow and unborn child and is available via Facebook on the page, 'Honoring Brian Prince.'

Rest In Peace my friend your shift is complete. You will be missed so much. It was my honor to work beside you for all those years at LUCKY 13. You were the perfect example of a Firefighter/Paramedic. You made the rest of us hold ourselves up to a higher standard when you were around. The new gadgets you brought around that we had no clue what they did or what they were for. But, you taught us with pride on the future of technology. WE WERE SO BLESSED TO HAVE YOU IN OUR LIVES. Here is my final "Be Careful Out There" to you. And may Heaven shower you with perfection as you did for us.
