LAKELAND - Mr. Wilford Henry Hale passed away May 30, 2011 at LRMC due to pulmonary disease. Mr. Hale was born January 4, 1945 in Lakeland.
Wilford was preceded in death by his father, Lindsey Hale. Survivors include his mother, Maxine Sterns; step-father, Jerry Sterns; children, Greg (Tina) Hale, Rene (Tracy) McIntire; grandchildren, Jennifer and Logan Hale, Zachary Schilling, Katrina Mc-Intire, Alisha Taylor and Tori Mosley; brothers, Leonard (Cathy) Hale, Alan (Marsha) Parker, Stanley (Robin) Sterns; sisters, Iris (Larry) Dorman, Brenda (Jason) Good; 13 nieces and nephews; and his significant other, Virginia Holt.
Wilford owned his own business where he worked on heavy equipment and enjoyed working with many of the Plant City strawberry farmers. His passion was bass fishing, hunting in Georgia with dear friends and playing music with his band at Moose Lodges and the V.F.W.
The visitation will be tonight from 6-8 PM at the Gentry-Morrison Northside Chapel. The funeral service will be Thursday at 10:00 AM at the chapel. The interment will follow at Serenity Gardens.
