Dwayne, Samantha and Sydney Hanson

Dwayne Allen Hanson, age 46 years, loving and devoted husband of the late Samantha Marie Hambrice Hanson; fun-loving father and the real-life superhero of Cassidy Nicole Hanson and the late Sydney Taylor Hanson; he was also looking forward to being the proud grandpa of the late Audrey Rae Hanson. He was the beloved son of Patricia Voltmer Hanson and the late Jerome Hanson; good-humored brother of Rebecca, Fred Eric (Durlene), Marvin (Rebecca Gonski) and Dawn (Frank); son-in-law of Bernie and the late George Hambrice; awesome uncle and a gregarious and loyal friend to so many. Samantha Marie Hambrice Hanson, age 47 years, beloved wife of the late Dwayne Hanson; loving mother of Cassidy Nicole Hanson and the late Sydney Taylor Hanson and was excited to become grandmother to the late Audrey Rae Hanson; cherished daughter of Bernie McDaniel Hambrice and the late George Gerald Hambrice and biological daughter of Tilman Pitre and biological step-daughter of Brenda Cedotal Pitre; biological daughter of the late JoAnn Guidry Pitre; loved sister of Mark (Mary), Fern Acosta (Steve); Jerry (Jean), Holly Bryson (Robin) and the late Paul Hambrice, and step-sister of Tammy Fontenot Brandon (Darren), Teddy Fontenot (Shellie), Judy Pitre Richardson (Brian "Duke") and Rachel Pitre Theriot; daughter-in law of Pat Hanson and the late Jerome Hanson; adored aunt and great aunt and outgoing fun friend to so many. Sydney Taylor Hanson, age 20 years, and her unborn baby Audrey Rae, cherished daughter of the late Dwayne Allen Hanson and the late Samantha Marie Hambrice Hanson; spirited and adventure seeking sister of Cassidy Nicole Hanson; treasured granddaughter of Bernie McDaniel Hambrice, the late George Gerald Hambrice, Tilman Pitre and Brenda Cedotal Pitre, Patricia Voltmer Hanson and the late Jerome Hanson; adored niece of many; animated and fun cousin; she was a bubbly and outgoing friend. Dwayne was a kind, big-hearted man who loved life. He and Samantha rarely met a stranger because they would soon become a friend, and their two daughters were the same way. Samantha had an infectious laugh who was always up for anything. Sydney was a sweet, kind-hearted girl who always had a ready smile. The Hanson's loved living life to its fullest. Dwayne and Samantha loved the NOLA Social Ride and it wasn't a Thursday unless they were going on a "Happy Thursday" bike ride. The whole Hanson family were avid Chicago Cubs fans who finally saw their dreams come true with the recent World Series win. Dwayne, Samantha and Sydney made an impact on everyone who knew them, and they have taken a piece of our hearts with them to heaven. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the First Baptist Church of Chalmette, 305 East St. Bernard Highway, Chalmette, LA on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and services will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
