We have great memories of our friendship with you in Oak Park/River Forest. David was a wonderful pastor and friend; Mary, you were a delightful friend and secretary. Also, those times when we went out for pizza and beer were great fun. To you, Mary, and the kids and grand kids, we are saddened about David's death and your loss.

Dear Mary and family,
We were so saddened to learn of Dave's passing. We celebrated our anniversary on September 26 and the loss hit us particularly hard as Dave married us 32 years ago. We are very thankful for the times we had with Dave while he was our pastor and for all the wonderful memories. We pray God's blessings to you.

Dear Mary and Family:
Mike and I feel so blessed to have known David and to have learned a great deal from him during his tenure in Battle Creek. We have wonderful memories of him performing our marriage ceremony and baptising our children...his words from our pre-marital counseling session still resonate we still quote him from those meetings, 28 years later!) and we were privileged to share in his leadership and wise counsel. You are being held closely in prayer by so many of your grateful friends.

Dear Robertson Family,
We were saddened to learn of David's passing. In addition to his spiritual leadership in our lives, we were blessed to have David baptize all 5 of our children (Scott, Sara, Amanda and Alisha in Battle Creek and Tyler in Orchard Lake). We have missed you guys since your move to Orchard Lake but are thankful for the time we worshiped together. Mary, we pray for God's blessings to you and your family.

David opened the doors for me into Presbyterian ministry while serving at Battle Creek, First. He taught me the ropes and led by example, ever visiting people in their homes, the hospitals, meeting with them and praying for them in their presence. Thank you, David, for being mentor to so many of us women in ministry and untiring advocate for the Lord. Ruhe in Frieden mit Gott dem Herrn!

Dear Robertson Clan,
Words can't begin to express the sadness I felt at the word of David's passing. What an incredible man of faith, integrity, strength, and compassion. As my son Adam said, a solid man. I and my entire family have been blessed by David's presence among us. May God grant you peace during this sad time.
