Norris Mauritson Obituary

Norris B.
Mauritson, Jr.

Norris Mauritson, 57, passed away March 23, 2011, at home in Olympia, WA. He was born July 26, 1953, to Ruby and Norris "George" Mauritson, Sr. in San Pedro, CA. He spent time as a child in Germany where his father was stationed. He later graduated from Olympia High School and obtained an accounting degree from OTCC. Norris served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Ft. Lewis. Professionally, he was an accountant for the State of Washington.
Norris was very passionate about his interests. His excitement was contagious. He loved music and attended many rock concerts over the years. He was an avid, lifelong collector of sports memorabilia and a sports enthusiast. He also loved West Highland Terriers; he will be greatly missed by his devoted dog, "Buddy." Norris also had an amazing sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He was very dedicated and loyal to his friends.
Norris is survived by his son Norris, daughter Susan, and one grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers James and Gene.
Dad-We will miss your smile and your loving, witty demeanor. You were taken from us too soon. We will think of you and smile whenever ACDC comes on the radio, cranking up the volume in your honor. We love you, Susan and Norris.
