Robert Hutchins Obituary

Robert Rutledge Hutchins

Robert Hutchins was born June 6, 1918, to Floyd Grover Hutchins and Mildred Althea Rutledge Hutchins in Athens, Oho. He passed away peacefully on March 4, 2011, at Roo-Lan Nursing Home in the company of several family members, including his beloved wife, Alarie. He was married to his wife Alarie Lucile Beckett Hutchins for over 71 years. He had a distinguished career with Northrup Aircraft from 1952 until he retired on his 65th birthday. He spent the last 10 years of his career working in Saudi Arabia and lived there with his wife.
He is survived by his son, Richard Blaine (Annette) Hutchins of Phoenix, AZ; his daughter, Jacqueline Grace Crow of Olympia, WA; his daughter-in-law Bonnie Hutchins of Torrance, CA; his grandchildren, Justin Hutchins and Alyssha Gardner of Phoenix, AZ, Francesca Hutchins-Huff of Warren, Ohio, Todd Crow and Lucy Crow of Olympia; and four great grandchildren, Isabella Hutchins, Ruby and Etta Gardner of Phoenix, and Spencer Small of Nome, AK. He was predeceased by his son, Robert Joseph Hutchins; his granddaughter, Tara Eileen Hutchins; and his granddaughter-in-law, Dawn Marie Small.
He was much loved by family and friends and will be deeply missed. His memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2011, at United Churches in Olympia.
