William WEIR Obituary
February 15, 1924 - June 17, 2012
It is with deep sorrow that we say goodbye to Bill Weir, beloved husband, father and grandfather. Bill was born in Cobourg, Ontario. He began working at the Bank of Nova Scotia at the age of 16 and continued there until his retirement. He spent his career in Toronto, Montreal and eventually Vancouver where he lived until his death. Bill leaves behind Marjorie, his beloved wife of 67 years, two sons, Mark (April) and Scott, a daughter, Patti (Colin) and his three grandsons, Ryan, Matthew and Taylor, along with his long- time friend Trevor Pilley and numerous friends. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Winnifred Weir. Interment to take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union Gospel Mission, 601 E. Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC - V6A 1J7.

I remember the whole Weir family growing up in Montreal and send my deepest condolences to Mrs. Weir, Mark, Scott and Patti.

I remember the jokes Uncle Bill and Uncle Jim Jeffries played on each other when at Grandma Mervyn's house. Great fun when they were together. Sorry for your loss, Aunt Marj and your family

I remember the Weir's visiting Elmwood when I was about 12 and Uncle Bill took me golfing near Walkerton. That was the first time for me and I carried the clubs. Uncle Bill let me hit a few balls. Some moments you never forget. Sorry for your loss Aunt Marj and your family.
