A Mass of Christian Burial for Alfred T. Galvan, 80 of Vacaville will be Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1791 Marshall Road in Vacaville. A viewing will be this evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home, 524 Elmira Road in Vacaville.
Mr. Galvan passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on the morning of Oct. 21. He was born in Guadalupe de los Reyes, Sinaloa, Mexico on Sept. 2, 1930, to Filomeno and Loreto Galvan.
Vacaville has been his home for the last 60 years. He was a supervisor with Basic Vegetable in Vacaville, working there for over 30 years until his retirement.
Mr. Galvan was devoted to his family. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his daughter, Rose Galvan; sons, Jesse (Dana) and Gabriel; their mother, Minnie; brothers, Roberto and Jesus; sisters, Aurora, Socorro and Elena; grandchildren, Natasha, Kayla, Jesse Jr. and Matt; he is also survived by one great grandson, Elijah and a host of extended family and friends.
Mr. Galvan was preceded in death by his son Alfred Jr., daughter, Yolanda, brother, Emilio and sister, Caritina.
