Sharon Welsh Obituary
Sharon Karren Welsh was born on Oct. 14, 1937, in Baker, Ore.
She graduated from Greenville High School 1955. She met Ed Welsh in high school and they were married on March 3, 1956.
She attended UC Santa Barbara and graduated from Chico State University in 1961. Sharon had a lifelong career teaching school from 1961 to 1995. She was involved in various activities such as: Alpha Chi Sorority (CSU); Wednesday Club, past president 1999 to 2000; Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; Solano Republican Women Federated; Open Book Club; Red Hat Society; Geranium Garden Club; and Relief Society. Sharon is survived by her children, Shari Welsh Rutter (Mike), Dale Welsh, and Ron Welsh (Rebecca); six grandchildren, Jon-Michael and Abbey Rutter, Libby Welsh (Patrick Lafave), Jacob Welsh (Liz), Taylor and Hannah Welsh; and great-grandchild, Kimberlyn Grace Lafave.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Myrtle Karren; and husband, Ed Welsh.
A visitation will be held today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. A funeral will follow on Friday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m., with a short viewing from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Cordelia Ward building, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 101 Oakwood Ave., Fairfield. Burial at Rockville Cemetery immediately following service.
