Dora Lampley Obituary
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at De Soto Cemetery, with the Revs. Chris Hottensen and Josh Wehrmeier officiating. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 7669, Atlanta, GA 30357-0669.

Dora was born April 1, 1925, in Blairsville, to Frank and Flossie Coffer. She had previously worked as a LPN at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
Mrs. Lampley was a member of First Baptist Church in De Soto, where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. She was a member of Red Hat Society. Dora married Carl Lampley in 1961 in De Soto, and he preceded her in death Oct. 6, 2002.
She is survived by two children, Shirley Vancil and her husband Howard Vancil and Greg Lampley, all of De Soto; one granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Michael Wright; four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Whiting, Brendan Whiting, Kiera Rose Harrison, and Eli Grenfell; two sisters, Alma Raines of Carbondale and Lora Bateman of Murphysboro; and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rebecca Grenfell and her husband Peter Grenfell; one brother; six sisters; and her par-ents.

Sorry to hear of your loss. It's hard to believe it has been so long--time has a way of sneaking up on us. I still remember playing in her house as a kid. She was very kind and I’ll always have fond memories of your mother.
