Dear Charlie and family,
I was so sorry to hear of J'ke's passing. I had been kept apprised of her condition by the Karr's and I am deeply saddened for her loss. She was a great influence on me in my younger years at the pool at JCC, and I can honestly say that I believe my love for water and swimming in general stems from her guidance, kindness, and teaching. I also enjoyed the brief periods of time spent with her at SIU basketball games, and local events such as the Apple Festival Tea. My prayers are with all of you, and I hope that you may find peace in her passing on to be with the Father. God bless her soul, and may He bless you all in the days ahead.

McCann Family,

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Jke. She was always so full of life and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad, sad time. Sitting at the baseball games with her was always so much fun.

Dear McCann Family,
I was so sad to hear about J'ke. My summers at the pool were always better with her there. She was such a lovely, kind woman and I'll never forget our long conversations or trying to survive the junior lifesaving course she gave. She made such a lasting impression on me and I know she did on many others at the Jackson Country Club. My thoughts are with your family during this difficult time.
