Fred has influenced my life tremendously. He is my father-in-law, my husband's hero, and grandpa to our 10 children. His enthusiasm, encouragement, and stalwart example has given us the strength to do hard things. He always encouraged us to do our best at whatever we set our hearts and minds to do. We are so grateful to know that we are only apart for a little while and that we will be his family forever.

My father-in-law has blessed my life in so many ways, but most importantly he gave life to, and raised the most wonderful person I know - my beautiful wife, Phyllis Smith.

Rest in peace, dad. I will forever honor and praise your name.
