Janet HOWELLS Obituary
With profound sadness the family of Janet Howells (Hessdorfer) wishes to announce the sudden passing of a wife, mother and grandmother. Janet passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Candle Lake, SK. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Gerry, daughters and sons-in-law Shannon and Darren Toporowski, Sharri and Kirk Ethier, Shelley and Jake Logan and Shawna and Chris Kuhl; 5 grandkids Tyler Toporowski, Logan Ethier, Emily Logan, Ryann and Rozlynn Kuhl as well as 2 sisters, 3 aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters- in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Clifford and Lorraine Hessdorfer, in-laws Jesse and Doris Howells, brothers Ronald and Clifford Jr., brothers-in-law Allen Howells and Bernie Archambault, nephews Ricky Knowles, Greg Howells and niece Sheila Archambault. Janet was born in Prince Albert, SK on May 21, 1954 and raised in Saskatoon in her early years. She moved to Kenaston, SK where she met Gerry and was married on December 20, 1969. They moved to Saskatoon and began raising their young family. They continued to live in Saskatoon until her passing. She had recently retired from the University of Saskatchewan after working there for 25 years. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central St. W., Warman, Sk. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation which was near and dear to her heart. Arrangements entrusted to MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (306-934-4888).
