Brian Anspach
December 29, 1975 – February 8, 2017
Brian James Anspach, 41, Saskatoon, died at 5:02 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2017 following a stroke at the Royal University Hospital surrounded by family. Brian was born December 29, 1975, in Saskatoon, SK. He grew up in Nutana and attended St. Frances Elementary School followed by Holy Cross High School. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2001 with a B.Sc. in Computer Science. Until his death, he worked as a programmer analyst for the University of Saskatchewan in the department of ICT. Brian is survived by his wife, Chandra; daughter, Emmalyn; stepchildren, Kelsey, Daymond, Katarina; parents, Ronald and Maureen; brothers, Jason (Kay), Darren (Aaron Warsylewicz); nieces and nephews, Kyle (Laura Sipko), Brianna, Keenan. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Anna and Joseph Anspach, Alexander Sovak and Caroline Dietz. Brian was a loving husband and father. He was always there for his kids, whether it was taking them to their hockey practices, dancing performances, swimming lessons, teaching them to drive or countless others. Brian had a love for dogs. Maddie, his first, was soon followed by Ella and numerous other rescue dogs over the years. He had a kind soul, and as his last act of generosity, gave others a second chance at life by donating his organs. On Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., a funeral service will be held at St. Joseph's Parish at 535 8th Street E, Saskatoon. A reception in the hall will follow. (A private interment will take place after which time the family members will join the reception.) The family wishes to thank Dr. Wall, and all the nursing and support staff that attended to Brian during his time at the Royal University Hospital. Memorial donations may be made to a trust fund for Brian's daughter, Emmalyn (age 11 months) at TCU Financial Group, 307 Ludlow Street, Saskatoon, SK. Contact Georgeanne Bourget, 306-651-6744. I went to high school with Brian, however, we became good friends during our university years. I remember playing pool, going bowling, and playing air hockey with him and our close knit group who I always think of us being the "four musketeers". I will carry those fondest memories in my heart forever. He will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time.

Brian is always remembered as the nicest kid (who apparently grew up to be as wonderful a man) amongst the group of boys from St Francis who shared eight years together with many happy fun times. With caring thoughts and sympathy.

Emmalyn was Berner's pride and joy just as much as us 3 kids.. Our family was his pride and joy. I remember when Emmalyn was 2 week old and he told me, "Emmalyn's my daughter, she'll be crawling in 1 week, no actually she'll be walking in a month" He had such high hopes for his little girl❤
