Lora D. (Cook) McConnell, 59

Dunkirk - Lora D. (Cook) McConnell, 59, of Muncie, IN., formerly of Dunkirk, IN., passed away, unexpectedly on Friday, July 21, 2017, at her residence.

Lora was born in West Virginia on November 7, 1957, a daughter of Zona Cook of Dunkirk, IN., and the late Jack Cook.

She was a 1977 graduate of Jay County High School in Portland, IN., as a child, Lora enjoyed spending time with her grandparents in West Virginia. Later in life, she cherished her time with family, friends and her own grandchildren. She was loved and will be sadly missed.

Lora is survived by her mother Zona Cook, two sons; Andrew and Seth Thompson both of Albany, IN., four grandchildren; Kelsey, Ashley, Ethan, and Rylee Thompson, two aunts; Donna Hatfield and Clara Skeens, and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at MJS Mortuaries - Dunkirk Chapel on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Davis officiating.

Friends are invited to call two hours prior to the funeral from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Burial will be held at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN., at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Dunkirk Chapel.
