Thomas Stinecipher Obituary

Thomas Henry Stinecipher LEXINGTON - Thomas Henry Stinecipher, 70, husband of Hipolita D. Stinecipher, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Lexington Medical Center. Born in Harriman, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Marvin and Bernice Moneymaker Stinecipher. After serving in the United States Air Force for 4 years, he would marry Hipolita Diego Stinecipher in the Philippines on October 23, 1969. He then moved to South Carolina with his wife and would spend the next 30 years working for Delta Airlines at Columbia Metropolitan Airport. He rarely missed watching the Tennessee Volunteers play football or basketball, although he always vowed to never watch them again after a tough loss. He was one of the few honest men left in this world. Surviving him are his two brothers, Ronnie and Jimmy Stinecipher; his wife, Hipolita Stinecipher; three sons, Gary, Jerry, and Christopher Stinecipher; his daughters in-law, Amy and Traci Stinecipher, and his grandchildren, Jessica and Eden Stinecipher, and Logan Wilson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stinecipher was predeceased by his daughter, Edna Lynn Stinecipher. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Holland Avenue Baptist Church located at 801 12th Street in Cayce. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. The family would also like to thank Dr. Wells and the staff at Lexington Oncology and the 7th floor nurses and staff at Lexington Medical Center for their compassionate care.
