Alfred Huey Obituary

Alfred M. Huey, 84, of Gouldsboro, Lehigh Twp., died Thursday evening at his home. His wife, the former Arlene H. Marshall, died in 1979.

Born Oct. 12, 1927, in Tobyhanna, son of the late Clarence and Martha Kohn Huey, he was an Army veteran serving in the Airborne Infantry during World War II and was a Naval reservist for many years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Gouldsboro and was formerly a scoutmaster in Tobyhanna and Gouldsboro. Before his retirement, he was employed by Tobyhanna Army Depot.

Surviving are a daughter, Kristen D. Cunningham, Gouldsboro; two grandchildren, Alyssa Cunningham, Gouldsboro; and Kellen Cunningham, Gouldsboro; many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Fratchey, Dorothy Dower and Ruth Atkins; and three brothers, Clarence Huey, Arthur Huey and Robert Huey.

Services will be private. Interment will be held in Swiftwater Cemetery, Paradise Twp.
