Keith and Jessica Rathbone
January 21, 2016
Dear Jean Smith
You and Richard both have been a highlight in my life over the past seven years, since Jessica and Stephen started playing on the Junior Golf VSGA circuit. Although I only knew Richard through the junior tournaments, I knew him to be a wonderful human, friendly to all, especially the kids. When we arrived at the junior tournaments, you and Richard were the first ones we would look for and many times the last ones we said goodbye to at the end of the day. I will miss seeing him and talking with him as I felt he was like a family member. My heart goes out to you and your family as I know you will miss him so much. I hope you can continue with the junior golf circuit and I will always remember and see Richard there, every time Jessica stands on the first tee of a VSGA tournament.

Jean, Sharon and family; I am so saddened to hear of Richard's passing. He was one of the best men I knew and always had my back. I loved working for him and so glad we stayed in touch all these years. I loved our talks and dinners. I am going to miss him terribly. He loved his family so much and the game of golf was such a passion for him. RIP Richard. With my deepest sympathy, Vicki
