Gertrude Williamson Obituary

BURLINGTON – Gertrude Earle Roach Williamson, 87, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Liberty Commons after six months of failing health.

She was born on September 27, 1929 in Alamance County to the late William Roach and Elizabeth Solomon Roach and was married to the late Jesse Bryant "Tip" Williamson who died in 2001.

Gertrude was a homemaker and a member of Harvest Hills Church of God.

She is survived by her sons, Page Williamson, Greg Williamson and wife, Brenda; daughter, Debbie Cobb and husband, Ty; step daughter, Becky Pilcher and husband, Jack; grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Gabriel, Jennifer, John Michael, Matthew (Angela), Holly (Michael) and Christopher; and great grandchildren, Makenna, Kayzleigh and Ali Grace.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister and two brothers.

The graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Alamance Memorial Park by Dr. Russell Morris and assisting Rev. Greg Williamson, her son.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home prior to the service and other times at Debbie's residence.
