Larry W. Smith

April 17, 1941 -

June 19, 2015

Funeral services for Mr. Larry W. Smith will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015 in the Sieper Community Church, with Reverends Danny George and Calvin Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Lonestar Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Smith, 74, of Hineston entered eternal rest on Friday, June 19, 2015 in his residence.

Larry was a member of the Sieper Community Church, an avid gardener, and the hardest working man his family knew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.W. and Shirley Smith, two brothers, Charles Smith and Rowdy Smith, and three sisters Billie Welch, Kayla Nichols, and Sandy Smith.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty four years, Blanche Smith of Hineston, one son, Mike Smith and his wife Rhonda of Hineston, two daughters, Karen Carroll and her husband "Bear" of Forest Hill, and Kathie Jarrell and her husband Richard of Hineston, four brothers, John Smith of Leander, Wilmer Smith of Leander, Eddie Smith of LaCamp, and Rusty Smith of Leander, four sisters, Judy Dewitt of Calcasieu, Liz Coody of LaCamp, Marna Boswell of LaCamp and Missy Squires of LaCamp. Mr. Smith is also survived by nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Sieper Community Church, on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at 10:00 a.m. on Monday

The family would like to express a special thanks to his hospice nurse Dallas.
