Dorothy May Wallace

WALLACE Dorothy 'Dottie' May Wallace, age 87, passed on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at home after a long illness. Retired in 1991 from Columbia Gas as a Bookkeeper/ Customer Service Representative in the Accounting Dept. American Red Cross Volunteer during WWII, member of the VFW and Senior Citizens in Gahanna and St. Mathews Catholic Church in Gahanna. Married in 1945 to Garland Frederick Wallace in West Virginia. Preceded in death by husband Garland, mother Lena Derocher, and son-in-law Emerson Allen Jenkins. Survived by four children, Barbara Jenkins, Robert (Linda) Wallace, Sandra (Glen) Rickett, Richard (Kelly) Wallace; grandchildren, Tabitha Jenkins (Barry) Baker, Stacy Wallace, Angela Watson, Michelle Jenkins Robinett, Anthony Wallace and William Wallace; eight great- grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St., where services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214. "Our mother was an amazing woman, wife, grandmother and friend. Everyone loved her zest for life and her outgoing personality. She was tenacious, a great story teller, confident, warm and loving.
