I cannot believe that it has been a little over a year now that you have been gone. I miss the sound of your voice, your laugh and the way you would brighten my day with your phone calls. Most of all, I miss you calling me "mom". When my phone rings, I still think I will hear your voice at the other end. I am forever grateful for the memories that I have, as they can never be taken away.

Kris was a great person and if anyone knew that if he called you his friend it was legitimately fact. He went out of his way for you. Even if it was just calling and chatting for awhile. Kris you are always in my heart my friend, I am just sad you never got to visit the family like we spoke so many times about. My thoughts to you and your family.

Was so sorry to hear of Kris's passing. He was married to my niece, Rachel. He did many good things for Rachel. We talked many times on the phone and most of the conversations were about his family. He loved you all very much. I know he was a believer in Jesus Christ. He told me he prayed many times when life was challenging. I know Jesus gave him comfort then and now. You can be reassured he's at peace. My prayers are with his family and friends.

Ever since we were around 8 years old he was like a brother to me just like his two older brothers. He will always be in my heart and mind till the end of time. Kris was without the kind of man that would give you the shirt off of his own back for someone in need. I've seen it first hand. I love you Kris and always will!

The Complete Serenity Prayer

God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen.
