JACKSON, James "Ricky" Henry Jr., our beloved brother, was called home to rest and be with the Lord on November 10, 2010. A native of Dinwiddie, Va., Ricky was born July 27, 1954 in the union of the late James and Georgia Jackson. Ricky became a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Ford, Va., at an early age, and later moved his membership with his family to Tabernacle Baptist Church, Petersburg, Va. After residing in Richmond, Va., Ricky joined First Baptist Church, where he served as a member of the Men's Usher Board. He was an active member in his community and served as a member of the Winter Hills Association. Ricky had a passion for acting in plays and attending the theatre. He enjoyed traveling, art and sports, including tennis and football. He was physically active and spent many hours in the gym. Ricky was a kind and loving son and brother and was devoted to his family. He was a father figure to his nieces and nephews and was always there to provide support and cheer them on.
