John DiGiacomo Obituary

DiGIACOMO, John James, age 61, of Manassas, formerly of Mechanicsville, Va., died Monday, December 6, 2010 at home, surrounded by his family, after courageously facing pancreatic cancer for the last seven months. He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Karan Crumpler DiGiacomo of Manassas; three sons, Eric DiGiacomo of Mechanicsville and Tony DiGiacomo, also of Mechanicsville, Zachary Denton of Greenville, S.C.; his grandchildren, Isabelle and Joshua DiGiacomo; and his many loving sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 4 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. Interment will be private and take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Capital Hospice, 10530 Linden Lake Plaza, Suite 200, Manassas, Va. 20109, or to www.caringbridge.org. I worked with John many years at AT&T/Lucent and always thought he was a great guy. He always had a smile and everyone respected him.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you Karan and ALL of Johnny's family. He was a good man, one that I am sure will be missed by many. I can remember growing up he could always make you laugh, he was a wonderful person, my thoughts and prayers are with you all..
