Dad, I look at the entries from all who knew you and I realized that your living was not in vain. Anyone who gazed into your kind eyes, heard your rich baritone voice, or witnessed your brilliant smile can attest to what your children learned love. To all kith & kin: Always remember, when God bestows his blessings upon you he sends you a good friend. And, there's no doubt that God blessed us when he sent Uncle John into the world. Now that Uncle John is in heaven, I'm sure his heavenly e-mails might say,
"My family! you must have courage, you must become stronger than you ever can be, you must survive for without you, your young and your loved ones may never learn to survive. And, don't forget, almighty GOD made human beings like tea bags, and you never know how strong they are until you dip them into hot water (difficulty); And just like Uncle John, all of you were born a LIPTON; Finally, and like all of those who have gone before us, we now must never let anyone turn us into a dollar ($1.00) store tea bag. Simply put family, during difficult times, like these, Please, STAY A LIPTON.
May the umbrella of God continue to remain up, over, and around each and every one of you.

Uncle John will surely be missed! I have fond memories from my childhood of his kind smile and gentle spirit, even when all of us cousins were together playing, and running inside the house, making lots of noise.
