To the Family of Ava (Necy), I did not know her as well as others, however, I did have the opportunity to see and rejoice with her and others during the 2010 Luther Barnes’ Gospel Workshop Explosion. When Carolyn informed me that Ava had passed away so suddenly, my heart was touched with sadness. I know there is nothing anyone can say to the family to take away your grief, but as we sung the song at the workshop,"It's your Time", it was Ava's time and she is having another Gospel Explosion and this time it is in Heaven. May God Bless the family, please know that others share your grief and loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh, blesseth be the name of the Lord. We know our heavenly Father makes no mistakes or errors, we must continue to look to the hills from whence our help cometh from, all our help cometh from the Lord. Ava will be truly missed by all of us. I will miss seeing her smiling face on Friday evenings at choir rehersal. But i know that she is walking around heaven and singing with the heavenly angels. RIP my friend. For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

My wife and I were shocked to hear of Necy's passing. Our hearts saddened for she will be missed on earth. Our prayers go out to the family. My fond memories of Niecy is being a faithful member of my first choirs here in the city. What a fun loving person! loved to laugh! I pray God's strength to the family. My heart was heavy when Rita, called to say Necy had passed. It took me by surprise. We all were just laughing and joking at New Generation Choir Anniversary in Oct. I will miss her. However, I do have great memories that will last me a lifetime . I will leave these word with all of you (my adopted family)from John 14:1-4

I had a hard time adjusting the news of Necy being called home. My heart was so heavy. However, I know she is in the arms of our God. I am forever grateful that he offered me the opportunity to meet such a good person.
