BAIRD, Mr. Paul W., 67, of Richmond, Va., departed this life unexpectedly on September 2, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Pauline Baird of LaCrosse, Va. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ruby Ezell Baird; one daughter, Pamela B. Tatum and husband, Mack; two grandchildren, Jordan and Hunter-Kaitlin; one sister, Judy B. Taylor and husband, Billy; many nieces and nephews. Paul retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation after 45 years of dedicated service. A memorial service will be held at Farrar Funeral Home in South Hill on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Richmond, 4600 Cox Road, Glen Allen, Va. 23060. Condolences may be emailed to: farrarfuneralhome.net.

To The Family, I was shocked and sadden to hear of the passing of your love one. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I worked at VDOT with Paul. He was such a sweet and humble person. I extend my sincere sympathy to each of you.
