CAPPS, Arlene McDowell, 72, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord November 18, 2010. She is survived by three children, Mike McDowell his wife, Penny, Dee Soth and Greg McDowell; one granddaughter, Ashley McDowell; one brother, Rev. Everett Vaughan and his wife, Linda; one sister, Charlotte Apperson; and many other family members and her friends at Rockwood Village. Her family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.

When a love leaves us, it is a crushing feeling. Our Heavenly Father can help us with the healing, the hurt and sorrow. I will always remember Arlene smiling and laughing and I know that she is resting peacefully with the Angels.
