George Johnson Obituary

JOHNSON, George Everett Sr., age 74, of Richmond, died September 23, 2010. He was preceded in death by his son, George Everett Johnson Jr. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Georgia and Sandra; two sons, Ronald and Glenn; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy; and a host of family and friends. He was retired after 30 years from the City of Richmond. His remains rest at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and where a funeral service will be held 12 noon Monday. Interment Dale Memorial Park.

Barbara,
My condolence to you and your family. George's memory will echo through the neighborhood every time someone starts a lawnmower, his spirit will live on in every child he gave guidance or a simple caring word. He was a special neighbor.
