Ray Compson Obituary

Ray Michael Compson Sr., 91, died February 14, 2005. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Compson Wardrup of Richmond, Va.; one son, R.M. "Mike" Compson and wife, Susan of Danville; a sister, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Hallie Coppridge Compson and one grandchild, Suzannah W. Wardrup of Richmond. Ray with his wife and son owned and operated Compson Studios, Inc. for 64 years in Danville. A private funeral will be held on Sunday. Townes Funeral Home, Danville, is in charge of arrangements.
